Privacy

Below Kelvin is published by Dapper Beheer BV, Mauritsstraat 1, 9724 BH Groningen, the Netherlands ("we"). This page says what we keep about you and why. Questions or requests: rene@belowkelvin.com.

If you subscribe

We keep your email address, when you signed up and on which page, the words you agreed to, when you confirmed, and when you unsubscribed. We keep a copy of each email we send you. We use your address only to send Below Kelvin and the emails that go with it (the confirmation, and replies when you write to us).

We ask you to confirm by clicking a link before we send anything else. Until you confirm, we send nothing more.

We send email through Postmark, operated by ActiveCampaign, LLC in the United States, which processes your address on our behalf to deliver it, under its data processing agreement with us, which covers the transfer of your address to the United States.

What we don't do

We don't sell or rent your address, and we don't share it with advertisers. The website sets no cookies for readers, and our fonts are served from our own server.

We count visits with Plausible Analytics, a service based in the EU that uses no cookies and keeps no personal data: it tells us which pages are read and where visitors came from, in totals.

The website and the software behind it run on servers at Scaleway in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

Unsubscribing and deletion

Every email has a one click unsubscribe link. After you unsubscribe we keep your address marked as unsubscribed, so we never write to you again by mistake. If you'd rather we delete it entirely, write to rene@belowkelvin.comand we will.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete what we keep about you, and you may complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl). The legal basis for sending Below Kelvin is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by unsubscribing.
