PsiQuantum says it has received a conditional commitment for a loan of up to $150 million from the U.S. Department of War's Office of Strategic Capital (OSC). The company announced it on October 8, 2026.

The financing would expand PsiQuantum's advanced manufacturing and prototyping capabilities in the United States. It would support the company's 140,000-square-foot hub in Milpitas, California, for scaling its technologies and for developing and validating the prototype systems that underpin its fault-tolerant quantum computing architecture. The company's release says the loan would be combined with co-investment from PsiQuantum.

The commitment is not final. PsiQuantum must meet financial, legal, technical and regulatory requirements before a final loan commitment is executed. The text available does not give the loan's terms.

For the quantum business, this is a U.S. defense-side financing arm backing manufacturing capacity at a single quantum hardware company. It follows PsiQuantum's Series E raise for fault-tolerant quantum sites.
